Frequently Asked Questions
What shall I bring with my horse?
Please bring your horse's gear including rugs, feed supplements, and any special equipment they may need. We'll discuss specific requirements when you make your booking.
Does the daily rate include feed?
Yes, our daily rates include high-quality feed tailored to your horse's needs. We use premium feeds and supplements to ensure optimal nutrition and condition.
What is not included in your daily rate?
The daily rate does not include veterinary fees, vet-prescribed supplements, chiropractor/physiotherapy services, or specialized treatments. These are billed separately as they occur.
How long does it take to break-in a horse?
The breaking-in process typically takes 4-5 weeks for thoroughbreds, though this can vary depending on the individual horse's temperament and learning pace. We never rush the process and work at a pace that suits each horse.
Should I mouth, drive or lunge my horse before they arrive to be broken-in?
No, it's not necessary. We prefer to start with horses that haven't been handled extensively, as this allows us to establish proper foundations from the beginning using our proven methods.
Do you take them out hacking or on outings?
Yes, absolutely. We believe in providing a well-rounded education. Our horses go out hacking, are ridden in the arena, and are taken to Cambridge training track. This ensures they are well-exposed to different environments and situations before moving on to their next phase of training.
